Daily Vlogs
I started doing daily vlogs in July of 2009. Inspired by the Shaytards channel on Youtube I bought a Flip Mino HD videocamera and just went for it. I record, edit and upload a video for every day of my life. One day, one video. What are they about? About me, my life, my family, my work, my dreams and all that defines me. It doesn’t get more personal than that.
It took several weeks to get used to recording myself and talk into a camera all day long. And in english too, I live in the Netherlands so we speak dutch here. But after a while, vlogging became a part of my life. Not just my life but also it also became a part of my children’s life: Pelle and Katja became quite comfortable with my little Flip camera :-)
When I started out I had a very firm idea of how I wanted my video’s to look and after doing this for over a year now, not much has changed in the way I record and edit them. The biggest change took place in July 2010 when I decided to upload the video’s to Youtube on the same day instead of the day after.
My main goal with this video diary is to create a legacy for my children so that they can one day look back and see how we lived and who their dad was. And how much he loves them.
